From Albany to Chanthaburi

Why in the world....am I going several thousand miles across the biggest water body in the world? In a sixteen hour + plane ride with people I've never met? To live in a different world for a school year, no less??
 Good question.
Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe that's alright. And maybe I'm being shaped into a person who wants to step beyond herself into the unknown. Thailand sure is different from Oregon, in many ways. But I want to discover what it holds for me....and how I can influence Thailand.

That little red dot in the lefthand corner of the United States is my dear old hometown. Language: English, Largest Industry: Grass Seed (the Grass Seed Capital of the WORLD), Population: 49,000

The underlined city in southeast Thailand is Chanthaburi :)) Language: Thai, Largest Industry: Fruit<3, Population: 40,000

I tell you all more about pa sa Thai (the Thai language). 'til next time. ~Clarissa
