Thoughts on Exchange Student Life - Pre-Departure

"True joy means having freedom, not attaching yourself to any moment."
~Hearing the Sunshine, Amazing Thailand

Is it alright if I jot some musing down? I'm feeling philosophical :) These are some of my findings as I journey on the Path of the Exchange Student....

It is hard to imagine and foresee all that I will experience, so an exchange student must be flexible, with their schedule, their habits, their lifestyle....change....the ebb and flow of life's pace....the energies of every place; so much can be shifted in one moment, so I have already learned to go with what you are given, to put into something if you want to receive out of it.

If you want to be an exchange student, or travel, or do any big step in your life really, you must learn how to be a good communicator, to pay attention to the world, the ambiance, the animals, the sights and smells, the people. Be a good listener, and take it all in and reflect on it. Being in social network across cultures...what little I know of it...has sadly shown me that many people are poor at communication, and have trouble finding real connection with other people. I hope to share with you all enough of my adventure, but also I would like it if you comment, message me, if you know me check my Facebook for updates. I am glad for anyone who would like check out what is going on with my life. (But here's a secret; the people who will get letters --yes, snail mail-- from me are the lucky ones.)

For pictures of me and Thailand, I will start including them in blog posts once I'm safe and sound in Chanthaburi. As to my knowledge, I will have access to high-speed internet :D So, I will be also posting links for Facebook photos for those of you who either don't want to read my blog ( D: ! ), or....you're like me and enjoy relatively massive quantities of joyous photographs.

Only EIGHT days! (omigoshishalldiebeforethedaycomes *bashing self with delicious fruity ice cream to relieve stress* )
